Please
note that we strongly encourage you to come in for
an in-studio consultation prior to your session. We
know that you have a busy schedule and we are able
to do a consultation over the phone but we have found
that when a client takes the time to visit the studio
first we are able to answer questions on clothing
choices, background and outdoor locations, and generally
make you feel even more relaxed and ready for a great
portraiture session.
What
should I wear for my session? The most important
thing to remember is the more basic your clothing
choices are the better the portraits will look. Patterns,
multiple colors, lettering all can be very distracting
and pull the attention away from the subject (you
or your child) and onto your clothing. The good news
we have prepared a great guide to get you ready -

here to download our Portrait Information
Guide or here
for our senior portrait information guide.
How
long will the session take? In general your session
will last approximately one hour. It does greatly
depend on the type of portraiture you desire (indoor
and outdoor, indoor only etc...) and what is most
important is we will take the time you need to get
the right images for your session. Unlike many other
studios we do not pressure our clients to fit into
a tight timeline and we understand when you or your
child needs a break. We do find for young children
that a shorter session is best for their sake but
again we will do what it takes to get the best images
for you to select from.
What
should I bring? You do not need to bring anything
to your session other than a change of clothing for
your little one is recommended. However, please feel
free to bring any props or items that you want to
use to personalize your session. For example for your
baby portraits a blanket that Grandma knitted, a favorite
teddy bear for a toddler etc. All make the portrait
very personal. For our high school seniors or older
children we encourage you to bring musical instruments,
sports or cheerleading items, drill team outfits,
trophies, car, you name it and we will make it work
for you.
Do
you photograph pets? We consider our two kitties
part of our family and we know you might love your
pet the same way. We are more than happy to have your
pet as part of your session, though we do request
advance notice so we can prepare the studio accordingly.
Do
you charge for outdoor sessions? One of the great
things about Captivating Images Portrait Studio is
we do not charge for doing both indoor and outdoor
sessions. We know that you will want a variety of
portraits to choose from, nor do we charge for images
done in black and white or sepia tone.
How
can I get more detailed pricing information? Because
each portrait and session is different we request
that you call the studio where we will be more than
happy to discuss our pricing and portraiture options
with you. In general for your portraiture session
you should expect to invest $450 on average; HOWEVER,
each portrait session is different so please call
us to discuss your wishes so we may be more precise
in our pricing.
When
is payment due? We require that you pay your session
fee prior to your arrival in the studio. We take MasterCard,
Visa, personal check (mailed in advance please) or
of course cash. At the time of your presentation we
request a 50% deposit to complete the editing work
on your image and place the order with our lab. When
your portraits are ready the remaining 50% will be
due.
What
product choices do you offer? We are pleased to
offer a variety of portraits and styles from classic
black and white, color, sepia, collages, montages,
graphic designs etc. Please visit our product
section of our
site or click
here to download our portrait information
guide for more details.
